Decorating with Nature’s Palette

3 color combinations that bring the outside in

This year’s Color Trends from Benjamin Moore are a mix of earthy and deeply saturated hues, offset by lighter, more ethereal colors that work together in perfect balance.  And when it comes to balance, who better to take a decorating cue from than Mother Nature? Some of our most cherished experiences happen on a beach, in a garden, up in the mountains… somewhere outdoors. You can evoke those same feelings in your home, by using colors inspired by your own favorite slice of nature. Here are three on-trend color palettes to play with.

1. Classically Coastal

There’s nothing more beachy than the sun washed rocks and pebbles that line the shores. Muted blues, grays, greens and sandy neutrals… heaven.

2. Stormy Sea at Sunset

As the sun sets over the ocean, soft blues and turn to deeper, more intense hues – highlighted by the brilliant golds in the sky.
